TISDALE — Another major contract in connection with street improvements in Tisdale is drawing to a close.
Here members of the crew of Rosenort Concrete Limited of Rosenort, Man., are seen at work constructing curbs and gutters in the land assembly scheme on the north side of Tisdale.
The slip-form machine, after taking on a load of cement, fashions curbs and gutters without the need of forms. Electronic sensors on the machine set its course to prescribed levels. In the land assembly scheme and on the streets adjoining the area, the firm will construct 3,690 lineal meters of curb and gutter at a cost of $65,466 (around $239,000 in 2018 dollars).
