KELVINGTON — On Saturday, July 25, [1998], Joey Kocur brought the Stanley Cup home to Kelvington. He is pictured with his grandmother, Helen Kocur, as they make their way through the streets of Kelvington in a convertible driven by Steve Neriuoka of Classic Chev Olds, and escorted by local RCMP.

After the residents of Kelvington had their chance to look at the Cup, Joey and the Cup went to the Kelvington Recreation Arena where a tent had been set up to allow the nearly 3,000 in attendance their chance to have their picture taken with Lord Stanley's symbol of hockey excellence.
