The Tisdale Kinettes are asking for the community's input for the design of the new skate park.
At a community engagement meeting held Jan. 30, the Kinettes and the skate park designers, the Canadian Ramp Company, showed off some possible designs and asked for feedback.
"We want to create something that's going to hit everybody," said Graham Cooke, a skate park specialist with the company.
There were also questionnaires being distributed at the meeting. The Kinettes are planning to send some to the high school and are asking community members to fill them out. A copy of the questionnaire can be found below and answers can be sent to the Kinettes here. The plan is for the Canadian Ramp Company to look at the results in two to three weeks.
Cooke said he's impressed with how much work the Kinettes have done to prepare for the project.
"I feel the community's ahead of the game. They've done a lot of work when it comes to fundraising," he said. "I see this project as moving forward quickly. I think the heavy lifting's been done, which is extremely important."
