It was another game where the Tisdale Trojans made more shots, but also let more shots in.
The Trojans were defeated by the Battlefords Stars 6-1 at an away game Dec. 9.
The first period saw the Trojans made nine shots. The Stars made seven, but one of those – Luke Fenning’s – made in into the Trojans’ net.
Cade Hayes, with the help of Liam Rutten, scored the Trojans’ only goal during a power play six minutes into the second period. That was followed up by another two goals for the Stars: one by Fenning and one by Adam Beckman.
The Stars continued scoring in the third period, with Shayde Peterson scoring during a power play. The Trojans decided to pull their goalie, but the Stars’ Damon McKenzie scored an empty netter. With 51 seconds left, Ty Mosimann scored the final goal for the Stars.
The Trojans’ Tanner Martin made 21 saves, while the Stars’ Joseph Young stopped 30 pucks from entering his net.
