The Trojans had a closely-fought game against their rivals, the Prince Albert Mintos, but in the end, Prince Albert broke a 1-1 tie during overtime.
The first half of the first period saw the Trojans battle in their end, until they finally broke free and Kalen Ukrainetz scored the first goal of the evening, aided by Zack Smith and Rhett Frey.
The Mintos answered with a goal from Austin Lamotte four minutes into the second period.
There was no scoring in the third period. During overtime, the Mintos took advantage of a penalty and Luke Nkwama scored a power play goal.
Roddy Ross, the Trojans' goalie, stopped 36 shots, while the Minto' Cale Elder stoped 28.
