It took three periods, but the Tisdale Trojans wore down the Notre Dame Argos’ defenses and won 3-0.
In the first period of the Dec. 16 home game, the Trojans made 17 shots to the Argos’ four, but they couldn't get one past goalie Bryan Thomson. The second was a bit more even, with the Argos making nine shots to the Trojans’ eight.
It was during the third when the Argos cracked. First Cade Hayes, with aid from Carter Lake and Kaden Kohle, scored during a power play. Then, during another power play, Kalen Ukrainetz, with help from Hayes and Kohle, scored again. The deal was sealed when Luc Marleau, scored with 2:32 on the clock from Andrew Hawes and Zack Smith.
Tanner Martin of the Trojans blocked 17 shots, while Thomson blocked 39.
