The town of Battleford have agreed to fund the Battlefords Regional Community Coalition of $30,000 annually for three years.
Council voted in favor of the request at their meeting Tuesday, following on the heels of North Battleford’s approval of funding in August. The city and town are both providing funding on a 50-50 basis. The funding would keep the BRCC functioning over the next three years.
The BRCC is the organization that resulted from the signing of the Sacichawasihc Relationship Agreement last year between Battleford, North Battleford and five area First Nations.
