A large tractor-trailer went into the ditch on Railway Ave. East on Thursday night, Nov. 19, in North Battleford.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. in the vicinity of the Gold Eagle Casino.
The tractor-trailer unit had rolled into the ditch off the eastbound lane. It is not known what caused the vehicle to hit the ditch, however there had been snowfall in the Battlefords leading up to the incident.
According to North Battleford Fire Department the driver was trapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle. WPD Ambulance transported the lone occupant to Battlefords Union Hospital for treatment.
The incident required the full response of emergency personnel including the fire department, WPD, RCMP and Vista Towing. The fire department reports they had two apparatus and five personnel on the scene and were there for three hours 53 minutes.
