At approximately 3 a.m. Sunday, a west-bound CN train collided with a semi truck near the town of Unity. The driver of the semi truck was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Unity RCMP report the collision happened when the train that was travelling west struck the front of a semi truck that was on the tracks.
There were no injuries to the train personnel and there were no spills from the rail-cars.
Highway traffic is flowing in all directions, and rail-traffic is shut down until the train is fixed and the tracks are deemed safe with the semi truck removed.
This matter remains under investigation at this time.
The RCMP are reminding the public to take caution when crossing rail lines at secondary crossings.
