Guy Turcotte and his family have, for the 13th year in a row, used Halloween to raise funds for local organizations.
Despite miserable weather that kept many potential trick-or-treaters from even venturing outside (or at least forced Batman impersonators to put on a less-than-menacing parka), the Turcottes saw around 1,000 children and their parents.
In total, this year's display raised $730 in donations from individuals, with local businesses contributing a total of $1,600. The money raised this year was donated to the John Paul II Collegiate chapter of Students Against Drunk Driving, to help pay for them to attend conferences.
"It's nice to see the community pull together for a common goal," the Turcottes remarked, adding that they thank all in the community for their support year after year.
