North Battleford RCMP responded to more than 80 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 12 and 6 a.m. Thursday, May 14.
Tuesday
• Police responded to a 911 call of an assault on the 1400 block of 109th Street at 8:14 p.m. Suspect was already gone from scene upon police arrival, but is known to the victim. The victim sustained minor injuries during the assault at a residence. A 24-year-old man is facing charges that include break and enter and assault and three counts of failing to comply with probation. He remains at large.
• Sometime between 4 and 9 p.m. a truck parked on Highway 16 reported to have had a diesel transfer pump and fuel cap stolen from it.
• A 58-year-old woman is facing a charge of theft under $5,000 after a reported shoplifting incident at a business on Carlton Trail at 9:54 p.m.
Wednesday
• A 43-year-old woman is facing charges of assault with a weapon and breach of probation after a 911 call to a residence on the 800 block of 111th Street at 3:44 a.m. The suspect is accused of throwing a planter and striking a man in the head after the two subjects began arguing while playing a board game. Alcohol was a factor in the incident.
• Stolen vehicle recovered shortly before 6 a.m. Vehicle located damaged in the ditch near Cochin. Suspect has been identified is not chargeable due to being under 12 years of age.
• Call at 8:23 a.m. of a vehicle tire slashed while parked on the 900 block of 108th Street sometime overnight.
• Call at 9:30 a.m. reporting a red 2002 Chrysler Intrepid with licence 998 JND stolen from near a residence on the Saulteaux First Nation.
• Mischief to vehicles reported at 9:40 a.m. A semi unit parked on Eagle Rise in North Battleford overnight found with a broken window and spray paint damage.
• Report at 12:40 p.m. of a stolen 2004 grey Alero from the 1100 block of 100th Street. Vehicle later recovered outside of city. A suspect has since been identified and the matter is still under investigation.
• Report at 2:22 p.m. of a vehicle broken into the previous night while parked on the 1000 block of 110th Street.
• At 6:24 p.m. a report of an alleged assault having occurred several hours earlier on the 1100 block of 103rd Street. Parties are known to each other. Matter remains under investigation.
Nine arrests were made for alcohol related offences. Other calls included six nuisance 911 calls, four child welfare complaints, 12 disturbance calls, seven alarms, nine traffic investigations and two reported missing persons who have been located.
