Two men charged with the murder of another man on Moosomin First Nation in January were back in provincial court this week.
Taryn Cote, 19, of Saulteaux First Nation and Troy Swiftwolfe, 18, of Moosomin First Nation were in court March 4 before Judge Lloyd Deshaye.
Cote, who remains in custody, will see his case remanded to Court of Queen's Bench, Battleford March 20. He remains in custody until then.
Swiftwolfe's case will return to provincial court April 15, to allow time for counsel to review disclosure in the case and by which time dates could be identified for a potential preliminary hearing.
The week before, Swiftwolfe was released from custody and must abide by a number of conditions such as to keep the peace, abstain from alcohol, abide by a curfew and reside at a residence on Moosomin First Nation.
Both face charges of murder under s.235 1 of the Criminal Code in connection to the death of Bryan Blackstar following an alleged assault Feb. 2 at a residence on Moosomin First Nation.
