Two LSSD subdivision elections

As of press time, only two of the eight subdivisions of the Living Sky School Division will see elections Oct. 24.

There are three positions for the City of North Battleford on the board, with five individuals having filed nomination papers for those seats.

Incumbents are Roy Challis, Glenn Wouters and Garth Link. In addition, Sheldon Gattinger of North Battleford and Richard Heibert of North Battleford have filed nomination papers.

Two individuals have filed nomination papers for Subdivision 6, incumbent Jack Snell of Kerrobert and Bernadette Heintz of Handel.

Bob Foreman of Battleford has filed nomination papers for the Town of Battleford subdivision. He is uncontested.

Incumbent Ken Arsenault of Medstead, and current chairman of the board, has filed nomination papers for Subdivision 1. He is uncontested.

Incumbent Ron Kowalchuk of Hafford has filed nomination papers for Subdivision 2 and is uncontested.

Todd Miller of Wilkie is the only candidate to filed nomination papers for Subdivision 3.

Also uncontested are Ronna Pethick of Unity in Subdivision 4 and Kim Gartner of Macklin in Subdivision 5.

Nominations closed at 4 p.m. Wednesday and individuals had until 24 hours later to withdraw their nominations.
