Two women are facing assault and drug charges after a 911 call to police Saturday at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday.


RCMP say they were called to a residence on the 1700 block of 104th Street where there was reported to be a fight between two people involving a knife.


A 22-year-old woman and a 28-year-old woman were arrested. The 22-year-old has been charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana. She will make her first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court Jan. 13.


The 28-year-old woman is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. She was held in custody until Monday. Police continue to investigate.
