In the Thursday, April 10 daily report, Battlefords RCMP reported receiving a call about a man possibly impersonating a police officer knocking on the door of a home on 102nd Street.
Investigation has been confirmed the man was in fact a member of the detachment, performing curfew checks, police say. While the person making the report indicated the man was wearing a t-shirt with "police" on it, the officer, who was off duty for several days after that evening, says he was wearing full RCMP uniform and was operating a marked RCMP vehicle.
The officer says he was not aware he had caused any concerns for the individual who made the call.
