Urinating male threatens homeowner

Between 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20 and 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, North Battleford RCMP received approximately 60 calls for service.

Thursday, Aug. 20 

• Someone called to report that he woke up to people smashing his vehicle window at 6:20 a.m. on 102nd Street. The incident is still being investigated.

• At 6:35 a.m. there was a complaint that there was an intoxicated couple at their residence on Trudeau Street that were causing problems. Officers went to the home and encouraged the couple to leave the residence.

• There was a report of an assault on Winder Crescent at 11:06 a.m. A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault in connection to the event.

• A collision was reported at the intersection of Carlton Trail and Frontier Way at 3:34 p.m. There were two vehicles involved and they both were towed from the intersection. No one was injured in the collision. 

• There was a complaint at 6:17 p.m. from a resident on the 700 block of 110th Street of an intoxicated male that came into their yard and urinated. Someone from the house went outside and asked the male not to come into their yard, and the male made threats toward them and walked away. The male was not located.

• A few vehicles were damaged on Highway 16, east of North Battleford, after they hit debris that was on the highway just before 9:30 p.m. No one was injured and the vehicles involved were still able to be driven.

• There was a complaint of a disturbance at 9:43 p.m. on the 1600 block of 104th Street. A group of people were fighting at that address. One adult male was intoxicated and appeared to be the cause of the problems. He was arrested and held in cells until he was sober, to prevent further issues.

Friday, Aug. 21

• A single vehicle collision was reported on the 1600 block of 100th Street at 1:07 a.m. An intoxicated driver had driven through the construction barricades and hit a raised manhole cover. The occupants of the vehicle all fled from the area and were located by Police Dog Services. The driver, a 21-year-old man, was charged with impaired driving and with failing to remain at an accident scene.

• There was a report of a break and enter to a garage on Sweetgrass First Nation that had occurred overnight.

In addition, there were 10 people arrested for alcohol-related offences, nine disturbances reported, three traffic complaints, two minor collisions, one false alarm, and one person that was reported missing that has already been located.
