Between 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 and 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 55 calls for service.
Thursday
• There was a report that a wallet was stolen out of a vehicle on Panton Avenue overnight.
• Officers attended Moosomin First Nation after learning at 8:22 a.m. that a vehicle was on fire at that location.
• A business on Moosomin First Nation was broken into overnight. The investigation is ongoing.
• There was a break and enter reported at 5:30 p.m. on Clark Drive. A screen on a window was removed to gain entry into the residence. It didn’t appear as though anything had been stolen.
• Officers arrested and charged a 21-year-old male for shoplifting from a business on 101st Street at 5:40 p.m.
• A male youth was charged with breaching the curfew conditions on his undertaking after he was found causing problems at the fairgrounds at 11:30 p.m. He was held in custody for court in the morning.
• A building on Central Avenue in Battleford was broken into around 11:45 p.m. and was vandalized.
Friday
• The North Battleford Fire Department reported that they were attending Winder Crescent for a small fire on a walking path at 12:13 a.m.
• Personal items were stolen out of a vehicle parked on Laurier Crescent around 3:30 a.m.
• A 28-year-old female is being charged for breach of undertaking, as she was not home at 4 a.m. during curfew house specified on the undertaking.
• There was a report that a vehicle had been broken into overnight on the 1000 block of 110th Street.
There were five people arrested for alcohol-related offences, 11 disturbances reported, three traffic complaints, one nuisance 911 call, five false alarms and one person reported missing that has already been located.
