Battlefords RCMP responded to over 40 calls for service from 6 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 to 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, including the following:
Saturday, Feb. 4
11:58 a.m. - Report of a stolen 2009 Ford Fusion from a residence on the Saulteaux First Nation.
2:15 p.m. - Report of a hit and run. A black Honda Civic struck a building on 6th Avenue in North Battleford and fled.
Sunday, Feb. 5
2:48 a.m. - A 35-year-old male was arrested and is facing charges of Obstruction and Fail to Comply with a Conditional Sentence Order after a vehicle stop on 100th Street.
3:19 a.m. - Call of an assault at a residence on the Sweetgrass First Nation. A 27-year-old male was arrested on scene without incident and remains in custody. Charges are still pending and the investigation is still ongoing.
Two people were arrested for alcohol/disturbance related offences, police responded to nine minor disturbance calls, six traffic complaints, one mental health matter, one bylaw complaint and two minor collisions.
