Vehicle thefts in Turtleford and Edam

The RCMP is particularly looking for the public's help with respect to a vehicle theft in Edam, a residential break and enter in Mervin, as well as several thefts from vehicles in Edam and Turtleford.

Police say the thefts happened Dec. 12 between midnight and 4 a.m. According to the RCMP, a Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen from the driveway of an Edam residence. Also stolen were several thousand dollars of stereo equipment and a satellite radio from other vehicles.

The unknown persons then went to Mervin and broke into a residence where a passport, three shotguns and a customized rifle were taken. They then continued northwest of Turtleford and broke into another vehicle stealing a wallet and other items.
