The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fill the following service positions:

Influenza clinic volunteers: Personable, friendly and organized volunteers are needed from October to December of 2015 to greet clients and assist with the flow of visitors at public health and PAPHR staff influenza clinics. Flu clinics are held at several Prince Albert and rural sites. Volunteer shifts are 8:30 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4:30 p.m.  Days are flexible, Monday through Friday.

Friendly Visiting – Hafford Special Care Home: Duties include visiting residents on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, chatting, playing cards, reading, sitting outside with residents, portering residents, taking residents to functions, shopping trips, performing small favours, walking with Alzheimer patients, etc. Shifts are 9 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to  4  p.m., 6 to 8  p.m., Monday to Sunday once or twice per week.

Youth Volunteers – All Long Term Care Facilities: Students in Grades 8 to 12 (ages 13 – 18) volunteer their services from September to June. Duties include assisting with meals, play therapy, folding linens, serving ice water, visiting patients and residents. Shifts are 4 to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.
