Fifteen models, including mini-model Trinity Schrochenski, walked the runway on Oct. 5 for the St. Mary’s Villa Foundation at the Cottage Boutique fall fashion show. Attendance was a little bit hindered by the poor weather but the event sold out with all proceeds going to the 2016-2017 Comfort Campaign.

Cottage Boutique celebrated their 25th anniversary with a fall fashion show on Oct. 5 with all proceeds going to the St. Mary’s Villa Foundation.

Fifteen models walked the runway in 109 Cottage Boutique brand outfits. Diamonds of Detroit  partnered up to show off some of 11 collections of jewelry on three models as part of the show and donated to the raffle that took place.

The event sold out but unfortunately was impacted by the fall storm with only the majority of ticket holders in attendance.

Cottage Boutique holds two fashion shows a year, with their fall show always going to the Foundation and their spring show going to Humboldt and District Community Services.

Donna Muench, Foundation Executive Director  says that St. Mary’s Villa Foundation is putting all the proceeds towards their 2016-2017 Comfort Campaign.

The Foundation was just recently notified that Dust Wing will not be reopening because of budget constraints on the Saskatoon Health Region.

“Now we are challenged with come up with a room for our residents to have their meals in,” says Muench.

Right now, the residents are having their meals in St. Mary’s Hall but get misplaced when there are events taking place in the hall.

Muench says they will be working on plans in the next while on whether to plan an addition or use current space to improve  resident’s dining space.

The Foundation does appreciate the support that the people of Humboldt and area have giving the Foundation over the years and are looking for their continued support as they continue with the 2016-2017 Comfort Campaign.
