Police are implicating a man wanted by Kamsack RCMP on outstanding Criminal Code warrants in a residential break and enter northwest of Swan Plain Tuesday.

Kamsack RCMP say Wayne Babiuk and the victims are known to one another.

The residence and a vehicle were damaged by a baseball bat and threats were made to the homeowners and police. Two firearms were reported stolen from the residence.

Police say the victims were not harmed, but Bubiak, 41, is facing additional charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, two counts of uttering death threats, break and enter, possession of a firearm and six counts of breaching of an undertaking.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest and the charges are in addition to several others against him in connection to previous incidents.

Babiuk is 6’, 200 lbs with brown hair and green eyes. He may be operating a red 1998 Ford F150 Supercab four-wheel-drive truck, Saskatchewan licence 077 HTP.

Police say Bubiak is known to live a transient lifestyle and it would not be uncommon for him to take shelter in sheds and abandoned buildings.

Babiuk is possibly armed and considered dangerous. Police say he should not be approached.
