Battlefords RCMP again responded to more than 40 calls for service/occurrences on a weeknight.
Between 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 30 and 6 a.m. Thursday, May 1 members looked into those calls, which included two false alarms and several traffic and driving complaints.
Wednesday
8:30 a.m. - Report of a hit and run collision with a parked vehicle on 102nd Street. The suspect driver, a 27-year-old man, was located and charged with failing to report an accident, driving without due care and attention and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking. He will make his first court appearance on June 9, 2014.
9:36 a.m. - Report of a stolen golf cart. Under investigation.
11:20 a.m. - Report of mischief on Airport Road. Under investigation.
11:46 a.m. - Report of graffiti on 100th Street. Under investigation.
12:09 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated woman at a business on 101st Street. A 53-year-old woman was arrested and charged with public intoxication. Released when sober
12:21 p.m. - Complaint of teens crossing the street on 9th Avenue.
12:27 p.m. - Complaint of mischief to a vehicle on 100th Street. Under investigation
1:54 p.m. - Complaint of cows on Highway 16.
2:46 p.m. - Report of mischief to a vehicle on 104th Street. Under investigation
3:11 p.m. - 28-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication on 11th Avenue.
3:33 p.m. - Report of a second party not keeping their word to fix a vehicle when it was agree upon. Under investigation.
4:16 p.m. - Report of intoxicated men in an alley behind 101st Street. Not located
4:44 p.m. - Call to assist WPD Ambulance with a highly intoxicated 34-year-old man. Taken by ambulance to hospital for assessment
5:00 p.m. - Report of dangerous driving on 18th Avenue. Under investigation
5:21 p.m. - Mischief to a garage on 105th Street, Occurred sometime during previous two days.
5:40 p.m. - Report of intoxicated people on 101st Street. One subject located and arrested.
6:54 p.m. - Report of intoxicated man on 11th Avenue. 45-year-old man arrested and charged with public intoxication. Released when sober
7:00 p.m. - 54-year-old woman arrested on 101st Street and charged with public intoxication. Released when sober
7:01 p.m. - 65-year-old man arrested on 101st Street and charged with public intoxication. Released when sober
7:20 p.m. - Complaint of two men fighting on 99th Street. Two brothers, ages 18 and 27, arrested for public intoxication. Released when sober
7:30 p.m. - 37-year-old man arrested and charged with public intoxication on 100th Street. Released when sober
7:44 p.m. - Report of two intoxicated men on 100th Street. Not located
7:58 p.m. - Call of unwanted intoxicated houseguest causing problems on Trudeau Street. A 23-year-old man was arrested for mischief. Released when sober, no charges
7:58 p.m. - 45-year-old man arrested and charged with public intoxication on 101st Street. Released when sober
8:09 p.m. - Report of mischief to a vehicle on 104th Street. Occurred sometime overnight
8:41 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated man causing problems at a business on 100th Street. A 57-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication. Released when sober
9:23 p.m. - Report of graffiti on a building on 103rd Street. Under investigation
9:26 p.m. - Call to locate a relative staying in North Battleford as the complainant has not heard from them in sometime. Family member was fine, staying with a friend
10:00 p.m. - Call of loud neighbours, yelling and drinking on 103rd Street. Police attended and all was fine
10:01 p.m. - Report of a single vehicle collision with a deer. No injuries, minor damage and the deer took off
Thursday
2:28 a.m. - Report of a suspicious man on 16th Avenue. A 21-year-old intoxicated man was located and arrested for breaching his conditional sentence order. He will appear in court on May 1.
2:50 a.m. - Report of a suspicious man on Winder Crescent. Patrols made, not located
4:50 a.m. - Intoxicated woman not wanted at a residence on 111th Street. Already gone when police arrived, located a short distance away and taken to a friend's home. No further issues reported.
