The draw has been made to determine the monthly winner of a $50 gift card as part of the City of North Battleford's monthly Snow Angel contest.
The February winner is Ivan Katzell of North Battleford, who was one of 10 "Snow Angels" nominated for the month.
The Snow Angels program is designed to provide recognition to those clearing snow from sidewalks for their neighbours, especially to help elderly residents or those with health or mobility restrictions. All nominees receive a thank you certificate from Mayor Ian Hamilton and are entered into the monthly prize draw. A total of 124 Snow Angels have been nominated since the program began.
Residents can nominate a Snow Angel (including their name and address) by e-mailing it to city communications manager Mike Halstead at mhalstead@cityofnb.ca. Residents can also mail or drop nominations off at City Hall at 1291-101st St., North Battleford.
