A Saskatoon woman charged in connection to numerous robberies that involved multiple police agencies in central Saskatchewan had an appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
On Sept. 2 Chantal Dubois was scheduled to elect how she wants to be tried but the matter was adjourned to Oct. 26.
Dubois and Cody Kemick were arrested in May after Saskatoon RCMP Provincial General Investigation Section, along with officers from Saskatoon, Outlook, Rosetown and Humboldt RCMP detachments executed a search warrant at Kemick’s home in Saskatoon.
Police had gathered surveillance videos that showed a man in a white Ford 150 truck at various crime scenes. Several RCMP detachments and the Saskatoon Police Service worked together to obtain information about the truck and officers identified the man as Kemick.
The police investigation was into thefts from businesses, residences and vehicles in Unity, Lucky Lake, Dinsmore, Rosetown, Kerrobert, Aberdeen, Humboldt, Milden, Conquest and Saskatoon.
During the search of Kemick’s home police seized stolen property valued in the tens of thousands of dollars including, computers, electronic devices, ammunition, tools, cheques, hair salon products, lottery tickets and clothing.
Kemick was charged with 10 counts of possession of stolen property, three counts of break and enter and theft, and mischief. Dubois was charged with seven counts of possession of stolen property and break and enter.
The investigation is ongoing.
The charges against Kemick were moved from Saskatoon to Rosetown Circuit Court where he is expected to appear on Sept. 10.
