Woman charged with trafficking cocaine

A 38-year-old woman has been charged with trafficking cocaine after an incident early Friday morning.

On Sept. 11 at approximately 8:08 a.m., members of the Battlefords RCMP Detachment responded to an assault complaint on the 1600 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford. A woman was arrested in relation to the assault call as well as on an outstanding warrant. A quantity of cocaine was also located and seized.

Further investigation by the Battlefords Provincial General Investigation Section and the Battlefords RCMP Detachment have resulted in charges of  trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking laid on Faye Bitternose. She was scheduled to make her first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court Sept. 14 at 9:30 a.m.
