Youth caught shoplifting

Between 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15 and 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, Battlefords RCMP were engaged in 62 calls for assistance/investigations.

Between 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15 and 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, Battlefords RCMP were engaged in 62 calls for assistance/investigations.

Six calls related to nuisance or misuse of the 911 system, five were alarm calls and three pertained to the noise bylaw. Seven persons were taken into custody for public intoxication.

Friday

9:15 a.m. - False alarm.

9:47 a.m. - Fraudulent cheque passed at a business.

12:09 p.m. - Credit card fraud.

12 p.m. - Complaint of harassment stemming from a personal relationship. Both parties spoken to and cautioned. No charges.

1:39 p.m. - Complaint of a suspended driver. Driver not located.

2:28 p.m. - Subject charged with breach of probation.

5:30 p.m. -Two youth arrested for shoplifting at a store located at the Frontier Mall.Charges pending investigation.

5:46 p.m. - Complaint of youth shoplifting at a store located at the Frontier Mall. Four youth arrested and taken home to their parents. All under the age of 12. No charges.

6 p.m. - Social Services request welfare check on a 16-year-old youth. Youth was fine.

6:15 p.m. - Complaint of youth throwing snowballs at vehicles. Patrols made and youth had departed in a blue van.

6:49 p.m. - Unwanted intoxicated male at a residence on the 2000 block of 102nd Street. Members transported subject to another residence where family there agreed to take care of the subject.

8:33 p.m. - 911 call from a caller who would not provide information stated there was a female outside a residence screaming in pain. Members attended to the 1800 block of Trudeau Street and located the female who was highly intoxicated and not injured. Checks revealed the female had a number of outstanding warrants and was arrested on those as well as causing a disturbance.

9 p.m. - Complaint of disturbing the peace at the 1300 block of 103rd Street where people were yelling and fighting. Members attended and spoke to a number of intoxicated persons who were advised to remain in their residence. No persons were located yelling or fighting.

9:17 p.m. - Complaint of a youth who was reported as a runaway returned to North Battleford.

Saturday

8:36 a.m. - False alarm to a business.

10:26 a.m. - Report of child welfare. Investigation ongoing.

12:34 p.m. - Vehicle reported to be left in middle of street running on 12th Avenue. Member attended and spoke with owner who believed the vehicle was closer to the curb but was unable to see due to all the snow.

1:05 p.m. - Report of a break and enter on 1400 block of 114 Street.Members attended to find out that the homeowner had returned home early.

2:23 p.m. - Impaired driver reported departing a business. Members attended but were unable to locate the vehicle.

4:14 p.m. - Caller reported an impaired driver on Highway 4. Limitedvehicle details other than a blue truck were provided. Caller did not provide any call back information.Members attended and were unable to locate a blue truck.

5:30 p.m. - Request assistance to locate a subject who was threatening to cause themselves personal injury. Subject was not located however was determined to be residing in another community. Police in that community were already aware of the situation.

5:54 p.m.- Report of property damage resulting from a relationship break up. Both parties spoken to and separated until they could resolve their issues respectfully.

5:59 p.m.- Report of an assault at a residence on the 800 block of 110th Street. Members attended and located and spoke with an intoxicated female who stated that her friend kicked her out of her house. Members advised her to stay home and not go back to her friend's residence.

10:02 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated male passed out on the front step of a residence on the 1100 block of 99th Street. Members attended and located a highly intoxicated male who was lodged for his well being for the night.

11:47 p.m. - Complaint of unwanted persons in a residence. Members attended to the 1100 block of 109th Street and the persons departed prior to police arrival.

Sunday

12:25 a.m. - Complaint of an erratic driver in the area of the trailer court. Partols made and the vehicle was not located.

12:51 a.m.- Complaint of a green Ford truck driving erratically near the 7/11 on 100th Street. Patrols made and the vehicle was not located.

1:08 a.m.- Intoxicated female arrested for causing a disturbance at a business.

1:20 a.m.- Subject arrested under the mental health act and taken for assessment.

1:58 a.m. - Vehicle stopped for speeding. Driver provided false information and was later determined to be a disqualified driver.

2:52 a.m.- 911 call of a domestic dispute on the 1500 block of 110th Street. Members attended and located the couple who were intoxicated. One subject arrested for mischief and lodged in cells until sober. Investigation continuing.

3:07 a.m.- Intoxicated male arrested for disturbing the peace. Held for sobriety and mental health assessment.

3:28 a.m. - Complaint of property damage. Members attended to a residence on the 1800 block of 92nd Street where an intoxicated male was arrested. No one was injured and the complainant did not want charges pursued.

3:35 a.m.- Complaint of an intoxicated male in a residence on the 1600 block of 102nd Street. Children in the home and the complainant requested to have the male removed. Members arrested the male for mischief to property and the subject was held until sober.

3:51 a.m. - Complaint of a female banging on neighbour's door requesting help. Members attended to a residence on the 1200 block on 109th Street where an intoxicated male was located inside a residence with two firearms in plain view. The male and firearms were secured. The male was held until sober. Breach of undertaking charges in relation to the firearms have been laid.

1:05 p.m. - Motor vehicle collision on the 800 block of 106th Street. No injuries.

10:45 p.m. - Complaint of a stolen wallet from the change area at the aquatic centre. Personal ID, credit cards and a quantity of cash stolen.

11:33 p.m. - Suspicious vehicles reported at the Dekker Centre and aquatic centre. Patrols made and vehicles were not located.
