Youth facing robbery charge

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 20 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 23 and 6 a.m. Thursday, April 24.

One of those calls, responded to at 3:49 a.m. Thursday, led to the arrest of a 15-year-old male who has been charged with robbery, mischief and break and enter.

Police say they originally responded to a complain from a business on 100th Street about an intoxicated youth in the store causing a scene. When asked to leave he attempted to shoplift some items and assaulted a clerk who tried to stop him before fleeing the store, according to police.

As members were searching for the youth a call came in about a break and enter on 107th Street. The youth was located inside the residence and was arrested.

The youth remains in custody and is expected to be released later today after his first scheduled appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court

Thursday

6:58 a.m. - Vehicle window damaged while parked on Pearson Avenue overnight.

7:08 a.m. - Two vehicles entered while parked on 1700 block of 98th Street, some personal property missing.

7:57 a.m. - Report of vehicle on Kildeer Drive with a window broken out.

11:24 a.m. - Unknown person attempted to enter a vehicle parked on 1800 block of 96th Street. No entry gained, some damage to door.

2:31 p.m. - Property dispute between two persons in common-law relationship mediated by members.

3:47 p.m. - Theft of electronic equipment from a store on 103rd Street. No suspects at this time.

4:24 p.m. - 45-year-old man arrested for public intoxication, located very intoxicated and walking on the street near 11th Avenue.

5:46 p.m. - Another request to mediate a property dispute after another defunct relationship.

6:09 p.m. - A 63-year-old man arrested and facing charges of impaired driving and driving while over .08 after a minor fender bender in a parking lot off 101st Street. Subject later released from custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court May 7.

6:33 p.m. - Report of intoxicated man causing problems on 14th Avenue, staggering around 14th Avenue, asking people to fight. Patrols for subject negative.

7:33 p.m. - Theft of gas from a business on 100th Street. Suspect vehicle described as a black truck, unknown plates.

11:54 p.m. - Vehicle parked on Gregory Drive entered, nothing damaged or missing.

Friday

12:25 a.m. - 47-year-old man arrested for public intoxication on 13th Avenue.
