Youths arrested for parole violation

Between 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 30 calls for service. Among those were three false alarms and several 911 misdials and minor complaints. Wednesday 8:57 a.m.

Wednesday

8:57 a.m. - 14-year-old youth arrested after a report of an assault against staff at a youth facility. Youth has since been released and is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Youth court Dec. 19 charged with two counts of assault and one count of uttering threats.

12:15 p.m. - Avehicle parked in a lot on the 1700 block of 110th street during the morning had a tire slashed. Matter still under investigation.

12:44 p.m. - Three-vehicle collision on Henderson Drive. A truck backing out a driveway struck a south bound van. The van then slid into a parked truck on the opposite side of the street. Van had significant damage to front end and towed from scene. Other vehicles still driveable. No injuries reported.

3:28 p.m. - 12-year-old youth arrested and facing one count of assault and one count of uttering threats after another youth at a youth facility was assaulted.

4:32 p.m. - 911 call to a residence on 900 block of 109th Street of an assault in progress. A 28-year-old woman was arrested on scene for assault. Alleged victim and suspect are known to each other. Matter remains under investigation.

5:24 p.m. - Three-vehicle collision on bridges between North Battleford and Battleford. One vehicle had to be towed from scene. No injuries reported. Cause remains under investigation.

7:58 p.m. - Report of assault at residence on 1000 block of 108th Street. Upon arrival members found two men fighting who were quickly separated. There was limited co-operation with persons on scene about the fight. Both involved found to be on conditions not to consume alcohol. A 25-year-old man from North Battleford is facing a charge of failing to comply with an undertaking and will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Dec. 30.. A 15-year-old youth is facing one count of failing to comply with probation and will appear in North Battleford Youth Court Dec. 19.

Thursday

12:11 a.m. - 17-year-old youth arrested for failing to comply with probation after an earlier curfew check was completed and youth was not at prescribed residence. First appearance in provincial court will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
