The owner of a Zodiak boat recovered from the North Saskatchewan River in the area between the Deer Creek Bridge in the Paradise Hill area and the Toby Nollet Bridge on Highway 21 has been located safe and sound in Sherwood Park, Alta.
The owner reports the boat was tied to a dock and was swept away by the floodwaters, according to RCMP
The boat was spotted at about 10 a.m. Tuesday and reported to police. A search involving police and Lloydminster Rescue ensued and the boat was located at about 2:30 p.m.
It was towed to shore and the RCMP's investigation led them to the owner.
The RCMP continue to advise people to stay clear of the river, as the current flow makes it dangerous.
