2010 SGI CANADA Junior Men's Championship results

After climbing back into contention, Taylor Cook fell back into the middle of the pack after the third round a the SGI Canada Junior Men's Championship in Prince Albert.

After climbing back into contention, Taylor Cook fell back into the middle of the pack after the third round a the SGI Canada Junior Men's Championship in Prince Albert.

After a +12 the first round and a -2 Wednesday, he followed that with a +10 and +17. Cook wrapped up the week of golf in a tie for 29th with a final score of +37.

The other local golfer, Tyler Wilson, had three strong rounds during the week and finished tied for 31st.

Wilson shot +7, +19, +4 and +9 throughout the week and finished +39.

Jordan Arndt of Furdale was first with, Jesse Gibson of Saskatoon in second and former AAA Star Michael Herperger of Humboldt third. Joe Parenteau of Regina also made the top four and qualified for the team.

Arndt won the tournament at Cooke Municipal Golf Course with a -1 four-day total.

Two local golfers from the Battlefords were crowned junior champions in the past. Tim Acaster won the tournament in 2007 and Nevin Gloe won in 2003.
