A.A. starts season in AA

The 2012 professional baseball season is upon us and home grown talent Andrew Albers got his first action Saturday. Albers pitched three innings with the New Britain Rock Cats, the AA affiliate in the Minnesota Twins organization.

The 2012 professional baseball season is upon us and home grown talent Andrew Albers got his first action Saturday.

Albers pitched three innings with the New Britain Rock Cats, the AA affiliate in the Minnesota Twins organization.

Albers struck out three, allowed just two hits and no runs in his first appearance of the season.

The Rock Cats started the season with a 4-1 record in the Eastern League.

Albers, the left handed pitcher threw 43.1 innings with New Britain last season after being called up from single A midway through the season.
