AAA Sharks attacked by Saskatoon Stars

Tuesday marked the beginning of the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League and the Battleford AAA Sharks made the short trip to Saskatoon to start the season. They started the season, but weren't necessarily ready, as they lost 11-0.

The Saskatoon Stars scored as many goals as the Sharks had shots by the end of the game.

Saskatoon's goal scorers were Emily Clark and Sara Greschner with two each, Lauren Zary, Brooke Mutch, Marley Ervine, Erika Hanke, Shiayli Toni, Ellen Lind and Kacy Smith had singles.

Jacy Akre and Hannah Brock played 30 minutes each and Akre gave up five goals on 37 shots while Brock allowed six on 25 shots and suffered the loss.

The Sharks now have six straight home games and the action starts this weekend, as they will play Regina at Battleford Arena.
