A trip to Wilcox proved to be beneficial for the Battlefords AAA Stars.
The Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League squad improved to 5-5-0-1 for the season this weekend after a pair of road wins over the Notre Dame Argos.
Jordan Mish was the hero on Sunday, as he scored just 46 seconds into overtime to give the Stars a 3-2 victory.
Mish also had a power play goal in the second period, while Dayton Buchanan tied the game up late in the third period on the man advantage.
Matthew Flodell had a pair of assists and Joseph Young made 25 saves for his first career win.
Lance Alm stopped all 24 shots he faced on Saturday to help the Stars to a 3-0 win.
Flodell, Dylan Esau and Jaden Shewchuk provided the offence in the triumph.
The Stars started their seven-game road swing on a sour note on Thursday, as they dropped 3-1 decision to the Saskatoon Contacts.
Adam Beckman scored the lone goal for the Stars in the first period, while Alm turned aside 44 Contacts shots.
The Stars will be back in Saskatoon Wednesday night when they will go up against the Saskatoon Blazers.
Their next game at the Civic Centre will be on Nov. 17 when the Beardy’s Blackhawks will pay a visit.
