Atom Tier 1
The Atom Tier 1 Broncos are championship bound after beating the Shellbrook Elks in their semi-final series.
The Broncos kicked off their series on a high note as they routed the Elks 9-3 on March 13 in St. Louis.
Callum Molsberry, Ty Dauvin, and Alex Behiel led the way offensively for the Broncos scoring twice each, while Ian Haeusler and Kayd Reudig added the others as the Broncos led 2-1 after one and 7-3 after two.
The Broncos wasted little time putting the series away as they beat the Elks 7-4 in game two on March 15 in St. Louis.
Dayne Beuker scored twice to lead the way offensively for the Broncos, while Duke Brochu, Reudig, Behiel, Molsberry, and Ethan Jenkins added the others as the Broncos led 2-1 after one and 6-2 after two.
With the series win the Broncos will move into the league championship series where they will take on the Scorpions.
Game one of that series is tentatively scheduled for March 24 at 12:00 p.m. in Prince Albert, while game two is expected to be played March 25 at 1:00 p.m. in Prince Albert.
Atom North
The Atom North Broncos are Consolation C-Side playoff champions after knocking off their Humboldt Atom South rivals two games to none.
The Broncos kicked off their series on a high note as they knocked off Humboldt South 8-2 on March 14 in Humboldt.
Jimmy Ingram led the way offensively for the Broncos scoring three times, while Seth Holtvogt, Jarek Zimmerman, Cohen Siermachesky, Caden Bauml, and Tryce Wallin each scored once as the Broncos led 3-0 after the first and 6-2 after the second.
The Broncos wrapped up the title with an epic 5-4 overtime win over Humboldt South, thanks to an incredible 4-0 third period comeback on March 17 in Humboldt.
Jarek Zimmerman led the way offensively for the Broncos scoring twice, while Holtvogt and Liam Zimmerman, with 13 seconds left, added the others in regulation, setting up Jimmy Ingram’s overtime winner.
The Broncos were tied at zero after one, and trailed 2-0 after two and 4-0 with just over ten minutes left in the third before staging the crazy comeback.
Atom South
The Atom South Broncos are Consolation C-Side runners-up after losing to their Humboldt rivals two games to none.
The Broncos’ final playoff series of the year got off to a tough start as they were routed 8-2 by their Humboldt rivals on March 14 in Humboldt.
Caprice Harder and Preston Hoppe had the goals for the Broncos, who trailed 3-0 after one and 6-2 after two.
The Broncos watched their Humboldt rivals win the title, thanks to a 5-4 overtime loss on March 17 in Humboldt, which saw the Broncos blow a 4-0 third period lead.
Sloan Harder led the way offensively for the Broncos scoring three times, while Brock Saretzky added the other as the Broncos were tied at zero after the first, 2-0 after the second, and 4-0 with 10:21 to go in the third before watching Humboldt North score four straight, including one with 13 seconds, and then another in over time to pick up the loss.
