The 2011 club volleyball season was a solid one for the Battleford Ballistic 18U boys' team representing the Battlefords and area.

Ten young men competed around the province at various tournaments. During the club season they won one tournament and were competitive in three others, carrying a third place ranking into the end of their season at provincials.

They went on to compete at nationals in Abbotsford, B.C. in May. This was a good experience where they had an opportunity to play best of three matches over three days against the best teams representing every province in the country.

They finished the tournament with a 3-4 record, which the coaches say they were pleased with.

Four members of the Ballistic volleyball team will go on to compete this summer representing Team Sask. provincial teams at several major Western Canadian and National tournaments. Joe Peters, Kyle Sabraw, and Jordan Lilly will represent Saskatchewan at the 17U Men Western Elite Championships in Kelowna B.C. July 21 to 24, while Sam Stilborn will represent Saskatchewan at both 18U men's Western Canada Summer games in Kamloops, B.C. Aug. 10 to14 and the 19U Men's National Team Challenge Cup in Gatineau, Que., July 19 to 24.
