It was a tight one Sunday afternoon at the Battleford Arena as the Bantam AA Battlefords Barons ended up drawing the North East Wolfpack at 2-2.
It was a rough and tumble affair with both teams having their opportunities on the afternoon.
The Barons got the first goal of the game as Keegan Tiringer scored from Kade Mosimann and Brandon Lesko to make it 1-0 on the power play, with 4:54 left in the first.
There was no scoring in second, but a flurry of activity in the third.
North East got two goals, one from Cole Jones and the other from Bret Stobbs on the power play to take a 2-1 lead.
But the Barons tied it 2-2 on a power play goal by Mosimann from Austin Schumanski and Drake Teer with 6:09 remaining in the game.
Despite some opportunities by both sides, there was no break in the deadlock, as both squads came away with a 2-2 draw.
Shots on goal were 47-43 in favor of North East. Kody Kushniruk was in goal for the Wolfpack while Matthew Flath was in net for the Barons in the tie effort.
