The Battlefords Bantam AA Barons are one of the lone teams remaining in the Battlefords and they are playing for the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League North Division title.

The Barons are now playing for their lives, as they face the Sask Valley Vipers.

Saturday in Warman, Keegan Tiringer started the scoring, as Owen Lamb set him up and the Barons led 1-0.

Sask Valley tied the game before the end of the first period.

In the second, Lamb scored for the Barons, but the Vipers answered with three-straight second period goals to lead 4-2 after two periods.

IN the third Sask Valley increased their lead to 6-2 five minutes in.

Brandon Lesko scored a power play goal and Blake Fennig had an even strength goal for the Barons later in the third period, but they fell 6-4.

Brady Hintz, Blake Oborowsky and Koby Vidal all had assists for the Barons in the third period.

The Barons were 1/6 on the power play while Sask Valley was 2/5.

Matthew Flath was in net for the Barons.

The Barons will look for some redemption and a chance to extend the series Tuesday when they host the Vipers Tuesday at the Battleford Arena.
