The Battlefords Barons hold a two-games-to-one lead over the Saskatoon Screaming Eagles in midget AA playoff action in the Centre Four League.
The Barons had hoped to move on this weekend after posting 4-1 and 7-3 wins, but they lost the third game 8-3 to the Screaming Eagles at the Civic Centre Saturda afternoon. Tyler Payne had two goals and Rocsyn Bird had a goal as well in the loss.
The next game in the series goes Saturday at Rod Hamm Memorial Arena in Saskatoon.
