Battlefords Stars forward Spencer Bast has signed a standard education contract with the WHL's Kamloops Blazers.
Bast picked up 31 goals and 37 assists in 44 games during the regular season, finishing second in the league in total points. He currently leads the playoffs with seven goals and eight assists in six games.
From Macklin, Bast has participated in the last two Blazers training camps. He also was a member of Team West during the World Under 17 Challenge in Nova Scotia in January.
Bast and the Stars start the best-of-five SMAAAHL league final Saturday night against the Notre Dame Argos in Wilcox.
