Battlefords AAA Sharks head coach Jean Fauchon resigned Tuesday and will no longer be serving as the team's bench boss.

After meeting with the players, Fauchon along with his assistant coaches Sean Fauchon and Glenn Heidt have cut ties with the team.

A day after head coach Fauchon resigned the assistant coaches followed suit.

The Battlefords Female Hockey Association has confirmed they will advertise for the position as soon as possible, but for now assistant coach Brittany Penner and Jordan Solomko will organize and run team practices with help from two other certified coaches.

The Sharks have a week before they will be back in game action, as their next action is Nov. 12 and 13 at home to the Regina Rebels. The Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League has taken a weekend break, as Team Saskatchewan is playing in the under 18 national tournament in Quebec this weekend.

The Sharks are 0-4-0-0 this season and went winless last year under Fauchon and his staff.

Fauchon has been the head coach of the team since the 2008-09 season, which not only was his first season as head coach, but his best win loss record, as the Sharks were 6-18-2-2.

Fauchon coached for nearly five years prior to taking over the head coaching position in April of 2008 and was an assistant coach with the Sharks one season prior to becoming the head coach.
