With the Battlefords North Stars first regular season game just under a month away, the team will hit the ice in preparation next week.
The North Stars' training camp runs from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1 at the Civic Centre. At 3 p.m. Sept. 1, the team will be in Kindersley for their first preseason game against the Klippers.
The North Stars also have two intrasquad games scheduled at the Civic Centre. Sept. 2 and Sept. 3, both start at 7 p.m.
The team will be in Camrose, Alta. Sept. 5 to take on the Augustana Vikings. The team is back in Alberta again Sept. 7, this time in Wainwright, to face the Klippers for the second time.
The North Stars get a few days of rest before playing their only preseason game at the Civic Centre Sept. 11 against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m.
Preseason wraps up with another pair of road games. Sept. 13 and 14, the North Stars will be in Dauphin, Man. to take on the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
Sept. 18 the team is holding a kickoff breakfast at the Civic Centre and the regular season opens up Sept. 20 in Kindersley.
