The Humboldt Broncos continue to make changes to their roster as they prepare for the 2018-2019 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season.

The latest roster move saw the Broncos trade 20-year-old forward Ethan Kopyczyn along with a player development fee to the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Sherwood Park Crusaders in exchange for 18-year-old defenceman Payton McIsaac.

The Fort Saskatchewan native joins the green and gold fresh off his first full season of junior A hockey with the Crusaders where he registered two goals, eight assists and 90 penalty minutes in 48 regular season contests.

In five playoff games McIsaac added one assist and 14 penalty minutes.

The Alberta native also brings Western Hockey League experience to the Broncos roster, as he has appeared in 12 WHL contests with the Saskatoon Blades.

Looking ahead, the Broncos’ annual general meeting will be Aug. 6 in Jubilee Hall at 7:00 p.m.

The club has noted that only general members, being season ticket holders from the 2017-2018 season will be allowed a vote or can be nominated for a position on the board.

Following that the Broncos will have a couple of weeks break before camp opens.

Season tickets are also expected to go on sale soon.
