The Humboldt Broncos’ search for a new head coach will continue, after the club announced in a press release that they have been humbled and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the applicants.
“We are thrilled with the exceptional experience, background and competencies of all of the candidates who have applied, and because of that level of interest, and given the complexity of the situation, we are committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure that we select the very best person,” said Broncos’ president Kevin Garinger in a press release.
“The successful candidate will have the skills, abilities, knowledge and personal attributes to lead our organization into the next season, and we are prepared to take the additional time required to get there.”
While the Broncos are busy searching for a new head coach, the club has also been busy getting other aspects of their organization in order as they inch closer to the start of the 2018-2019 season.
The club has been able to add a number of players to their roster, beginning with their spring camp, which saw some players signed.
The club was also able to continue to stock their prospect pool at the SJHL bantam draft, and filled in further roster spots with the selection of ten players, nine of which are either 19 or 20, during the SJHL dispersal draft.
As the club looks to the future, they plan to continue adding to their expanded 55 player roster, while also planning for their fall training camp, and their exhibition schedule.
