The Humboldt Broncos are on a roll and have taken over top spot in the Kramer Division following two roads wins in Weyburn and Estevan.
On Nov. 22 the Broncos won a thrilling 4-3 game in overtime over the Red Wings. Cody Pettapiece found the back of the net in overtime for the winning goal.
Cody Pongracz scored twice on the power play and Stuart Symenuk also scored for Humboldt. Ryland Pashovitz stopped 29 of 32 shots to improve his record to 6-0-1.
The following night the Broncos traveled to Estevan to take on the Bruins and came away with a 4-1 victory, their fourth in a row. Humboldt jumped out to a 2-0 lead after two periods, with goals coming from Rhett Blackmur and Jarrett Fontaine.
Blackmur scored his second to put Humboldt up 3-1 in the third period and Dylan Fluter finished things off with a late empty net goal. Cade Spencer had a strong night between the posts, stopping 37 of 38 shots.
After the Journal went to press the Broncos took on the Klippers in Kindersley. (Update: The Broncos lost 3-2 in a shootout.) They will also face the Klippers at home tomorrow night as part of a crucial home-and-home series.
