Flin Flon came to visit, but failed to score a single goal.
The Bombers faced the Humboldt Broncos on December 7 at the Elgar Petersen Arena in Humboldt, and though the action was fast and furious in the first period, scoring was solely on Humboldt's side over three periods of play.
Humboldt's first goal came at 9:43 of the first period, when Justin Buzzeo broke away to sneak one in past Flin Flon goaltender PJ Musico.
He was assisted by Matt Glowa and Jeremy Boyer.
Taylor Johnson increased the Broncos' lead with a goal at 5:22 of the second, assisted by Ballas, then Jeremy Boyer got a power play point at 16:55, assisted by Glowa and Nathan Hudema to make it a 3-0 game.
In the third, Boyer got another point for Humboldt at 4:57 - Buzzeo got the helper - then Riley Gillies rounded out the scoring with a goal at 6:47, assisted by Greg Ferguson and Logan Sproule.
Final score: 5-0 Broncos.

Penalties throughout the game were pretty scarce - Flin Flon earned six, while the Broncos got five.
One Bomber had three added to his name - Stefan Virtanen was boxed for unsportsmanlike conduct and hooking at 14:28 of the second, and for slashing in the third period.
Power-play wise, the Broncos were able to score once on five, while the Bombers were zero for five.
Humboldt out-shot Flin Flon 37 to 21 in the contest, and Bronco goalie Andrew Bodnarchuk was named one of the game stars. The two other stars of the game were Buzzeo and Boyer.
