The Broncos won both home games played January 6 and 8 at the Elgar Petersen Arena in Humboldt.
Their first game of the weekend, against the Yorkton Terriers, was a 3-0 blowout in front of 1,100 fans.
While it was goalie Matt Hrynkiw who got the shutout for the Broncos, it was Taylor Duzan who scored Humboldt's opening goal at 12:32, assisted by Andrew Johnston and Mathew Backhouse.
And it was Joey Davies who scored their next goal, unassisted, at 2:44 of the second period.
Duzan struck again late in the second, scoring Humboldt's third and final goal at 17:01.
Penalties in this game were average in number, but two fights broke out in the three periods of play.
The first occurred at 8:58 of the first period, when Tayler Thompson of the Terriers dropped gloves with Logan Sproule of the Broncos. Both got five minutes for fighting.
The second fight broke out at 9:58 of the second between Bronco Adam Antkowiak and Sam Rockwell of the Terriers. Again, both got five minutes for fighting.
Both teams failed to score on the power play - Yorkton was zero for one, and the Broncos were zero for four.
Humboldt far outshot the Terriers: 42 to 25.
All three stars of the game were Broncos - Duzan, Johnston and Davies.
Just two nights later, the Broncos faced off against the Estevan Bruins in front of 647 fans.
It was Bronco Andrew Herle who kicked off scoring with a goal at 9:02 of the first period, assisted by Adam Antkowiak and Ryan Marshall.
Estevan tied things up with the only goal scored in the second period, coming just 11 seconds in.
But the Broncos took back their lead with a goal at 14:55 of the third period, thanks to Andrew Johnston, assisted by Taylor Duzan and Emrik Guillemette.
Penalties were extremely light, with the Broncos recording just two, and the Bruins, three - all minor.
Shots on goal were very much in the Broncos' favour - 40 to 20 over three periods.
Bronco goaltender Colin Dzijacky stopped 19 of the 20 shots on goal he faced, and was named the second star of the game. First-star honours went to Johnston, and third, to goaltender Tyler Ross of the Bruins.
These two wins have placed the Broncos in 10th position in the Canadian Junior A Hockey League top-20 rankings, up from 18th position last week.
