The Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League will wrap up the regular season on Saturday with two games, but it was a busy week for teams leading up to the final weekend.

Ten games were played from Friday to Wednesday with Maymont being the big winners with victories in all four of their games.

Friday they went to Hafford and won 6-4, Saturday in Glaslyn they won by the same score, Monday they hosted and beat Perdue 9-4 and Wednesday they continued their winning streak at 10 games with a 9-5 victory in Radisson.

The win shot Maymont up to the top of the SPHL standings and they have one game remaining.

Like Maymont, Cut Knife had a perfect week and had two lopsided wins. Friday they beat Glaslyn 11-3 and Tuesday they won 17-2 over Radisson to sit in second place.

Spiritwood played just once last week and beat Battleford 6-3 in what was a chippy game from both teams.

Clinging to fourth place is Hafford, as they earned a win over Radisson 13-4, and Perdue 14-7 last week, but lost to Maymont.

Battleford played once last week and lost and are positioned in fifth place.

Despite three tough losses last week, Radisson still holds the sixth spot in the standings and that is where they will finish the season.

Glaslyn have three wins on the season and lost twice last week.

Perdue is looking up at the rest of the league and after three losses last week are destined for eighth place in the standings.
