The John Paul II Crusaders football team started the season with an win over Kindersley, but since then, they have lost two games and find themselves in the fight for a playoff spot with three games remaining.

The Crusaders were in Warman Sept. 20 and lost 53-29.

The offence moved the ball for JP II, but turnovers in the fourth quarter made the comeback attempt too much to over come. Warman scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

This week's game won't be any easier for the Crusaders, as they host Delisle at Beaver Lions Stadium in North Battleford at 4 p.m. Friday.

Defensive coach Vic Stynsky says the focus for the Crusaders will be to shutdown Delisle's potent running game.

The Crusaders final regular season games will be Oct. 5 at home to Martensville and Oct. 12 in Meadow Lake, which they will get a chance to avenge their week two loss to the Spartans.
