Crushing the competition

Although school volleyball season is over, the competitive club season is just heating up. The North Battleford Crush U15 team played twice in March, once winning gold and, more recently, being knocked out in the quarter-finals.

Although school volleyball season is over, the competitive club season is just heating up.

The North Battleford Crush U15 team played twice in March, once winning gold and, more recently, being knocked out in the quarter-finals.

March 11 in Saskatoon, the Crush were first in their division after beating out a Regina team to win the final.

At the Asics Cup on the weekend in Saskatoon, the Crush had QCVC Royal down one set and down to their final point in the quarter-final, but lost the set. QCVC went on to win the 27-team tournament.

The Crush also have tournaments scheduled in Saskatoon, Hepburn, Regina and then provincials April 21 and 22 in Saskatoon.

Other local area teams in the 15U division including the St. Walburg Fusion and Hafford Hurricanes. Competing in the 14U women's division are the Edam Prairie Storm and Battlefords Xplosion from the Northwest.
